The iconic, high quality, portable solar light Little Sun is the personal solar powered light for many situations. The small light is equipped with a dimmer. The switch is surrounded by fluorescent silicone and when pressed once, the Little Sun shines the brightest. To start the dimming, the switch must be held down. The battery is charged in the sun within 5 hours. The full battery holds 50 hours of light at the darkest setting (2 lumens), at the brightest setting (30 lumens) the lamp illuminates for 4 hours.

Little Sun is a social enterprise founded by Ólafur Eliasson and Frederik Ottesen that manufactures solar powered LED bulbs and chargers to provide clean, low cost light to communities that do not have access to electricity distribution networks. Every Little Sun product sold in developed countries makes possible the sale at a reduced price of a Little Sun original in rural Africa and other regions without electricity. The hazardous and harmful lamps that use kerosene or other combustible materials can then be dispensed with.
