Individually adjustable floor lamp BL3 - chrome frame

In terms of appearance and function, the BL3 floor lamp is a master of versatility. It allows the frame to be individually aligned so that the light can be adjusted to suit personal requirements. For the design, the British industrial designer Robert Dudley Best (1892 - 1984) - a contemporary of Walter Gropius - was inspired by the Bauhaus style. With its purist, timelessly elegant appearance, the BL3 floor lamp can also be integrated into numerous contemporary living styles.

The first lamp in the Bestlite series, the BL1 table lamp, was initially used primarily in workshops due to its high functionality. It was also used by the Royal Air Force. It became famous as a desk lamp by Winston Churchill and is now considered an icon of upmarket design worldwide. Bestlite is represented in collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London.

The Bestlite luminaire series has been manufactured by Gubi since 2004. The Danish company is known for the excellent quality of the furniture and lighting produced.
