Fascinating pendant lamp Firefly - Design: José de la O

The Mexican designer José de la O was inspired by the traditional flycatchers from his home country for the look of the pendant lamp Firefly. José de la O, who first studied industrial design in Mexico City and then in Eindhoven (Netherlands), opened his own studio in Eindhoven in 2010.

The pendant lamp Firefly works equally as an eye-catcher and dispenser of an atmospheric ambient lighting. It comes into its own as a solitaire and also fulfils a wide variety of lighting tasks in a group, e.g. when mounted at different heights. The light source used remains hidden from view. It is inserted inside the upper cap and shines into the seamless glass body at the bottom, which is clear in the upper area and sandblasted in the lower area, where it diffuses the light.

The Firefly pendant lamp is manufactured in impeccable quality by the Mater company, which places great value on the conservation of resources as well as the use of traditional handicraft techniques during production.
