Baby Dome indirect distribution table lamp - Design: Todd Bracher

Made of hand-spun metal, the shade of the Baby Dome table lamp describes exactly half of a sphere that is completely open at the bottom. Baby Dome fits into almost any modern designed environment due to its minimalistic design and can be used on the table, but also as accent lighting for shelves or sideboards. The lamp to be used is shielded to the sides and upwards; its light indirectly illuminates the surroundings via the surface below.

Todd Bracher is the creative mind behind this decorative design. A native New Yorker, he has lived and worked in Europe - Milan, Paris, London and Copenhagen - for over a decade. He collaborated in the fields of furniture and object design with some renowned brands. Bracher is particularly drawn to Mater's resource-conserving approach, which incorporates old craft traditions, as it allows ideas from local artisans to flow into products, thus preserving unique secrets of traditional manufacturing methods.
