The Danish designer Christian Troels has focused on minimalism in form and colour in his Mutatio series of lamps. The actually cylindrical table lamp reveals its true potential when the shade is folded out and the light is directed in the desired direction. When the shade is opened, however, not only the light is revealed, but also the white interior, which contrasts with the completely black exterior of the table lamp.
