The 28mm thick interlocking log boards combine to form a sturdy structure with a stylish pitched roof and canopy for extra shade when required. The roof and floor are made of tongued and grooved timber for easy assembly, and the floor bearers are pressure treated for a longer life. Many attributes of a traditional summerhouse have also been incorporated into the solid cabin structure, making this a great building for a variety of outdoor spaces. Featuring glazed double doors centred between two Georgian-style long windows, all with quality mortise, tenon joinery, and draft excluders, this build welcomes an abundance of natural daylight whilst keeping you cosy inside. The storm proof design also makes this the perfect space to use all year round. The untreated nature of the wood requires you to paint or stain it immediately after installation, but also allows you to choose just the right colour to suit your space. Shire log cabins are supplied as individual log boards that require length by length assembly, building upwards from the floor. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building. You should also make allowance for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during construction and subsequent treatment.
