If you are looking for precision and ease of use The Handy THDS Drop Spreader is the one for you, it is the ideal solution for the gardener who wants to spread fertilizer or seed accurately but, doesn't want to spend all day doing it. The spreader features a very generous 56cm (22”) spread pattern for quick, even, and efficient spreading. Its fingertip cable control will open and shut the spreader gate without having to bend down repeatedly, the hopper holds up to 27.3kg (60lbs). It's rugged, heavy-duty plastic hopper is built to stand up to the roughest conditions and treatments. Two large plastic wheels provide smooth operation over all types of terrain, the agitator is plastic and includes a flow bar. It is suitable for the homeowner with a larger lawn.

Using rock salt in this spreader will damage the mechanism and shorten the life of the product. Refined ice melting salt can be used but the user should be aware that this is not a specialised salt spreader and using salt may corrode the spreader and reduce the life of the machine. Clean the spreader thoroughly after using refined de-icing salt.
