The 40° single thread creates plenty of pull out resistance without over-splicing the fibres of the decking timber and any splinters which do rise above the surface are swiftly removed by the helix shank resting above the screws partial thread. The 25° sharp point lets these decking screws quickly and easily penetrate the surface of the timber which reduces the chances of surface damage due to a slip of the screw. A green organic plating ensures that these screws will withstand the challenges of the great outdoors since the corrosion resistant finish has been rigourusly tested to prove that it will survive more than 500 hours of salt spray which would usually accelerate rust.
