Great Flechtwerk pendant lamp with 3D printing and lampshade made of biomaterials – made in Germany

You would be hard pushed to think of a better name for this designer pendant lamp than “Flechtwerk”, which means “basketwork” in German, as the lampshade has precisely this structure. It is like a chessboard with alternating dark and light parts. The light sections are cut-outs that provide a clear view of the inside of the lampshade and allow the light to shine outwards. This lamp is not necessarily about brightness; instead the focus is on the light effects created. These effects can be seen on the German-made lampshade as well as on the surrounding surfaces, which are covered in a lovely, even pattern of light and shade.

This pendant lamp design has only been made possible by the use of a 3D printer. It is used to create each lampshade and creates this striking, effective pattern.
