The light can only be dimmed using the switch if the lamps are already turned on. To do this, press the switch twice in quick succession and the brightness will slowly fall to a minimum of ten per cent of the full brightness. If you want to interrupt the dimming process and set a specific level of brightness, you have to repeat the switching process.
