The Karolin ceiling light is kept rather simple in its type and in the construction of its shape. The semi-spherical shape of the glass and the matching fixture are not what makes it so special - the skilful production of the partly curved and partly linear patterns in the glass is what makes it an eye-catcher. The patterns are placed in three different levels around the shape of the hand-blown and satin glass, reminiscent of a semi-sphere. The base is antique-coloured, which arises due to the colouration process of the brass, and is strongly reminiscent of lights from the early 20th century.
