With a unique styling more comparable to a high-tech briefcase than the majority of contemporary jobsite radios, the DWST175663 has been designed for seamless integration with DeWalt's ToughSystem tool and accessory storage solution. Equipped with an FM/AM/ Digital DAB receiver, Bluetooth wireless technology and a 3.5mm auxiliary input, the DWST175663 boasts an array of four tweeters and two subwoofers, driven by a 40W class D amplifier. Designed to cope with the most demanding jobsite conditions, the DWST175663 is IP54 rated for protection against rain, liquid and dust ingress, with a rugged and durable housing that includes an internal compartment suitable for keeping items such as phones and MP3 players out of harm's way.

With it's integrated carry handle providing easy transport by hand, the radio's housing is also compatible with DeWalt Toughsystem trolley units, meaning it can be integrated into an all-in-one portable storage solution for tools and accessories - Saving time packing and unpacking as well as reducing the risk of loss. The top compartment provides a sealed storage area for small items such as phones, protecting them from damages that might otherwise be incurred on site, along with space for the unit's power adaptor and additional small accessories. The DWST175663's rear battery compartment is also fully sealed when closed.

Capable of running off either an AC supply or DeWalt power tool batteries (18v / 14.4v only), the DWST175663 is a versatile and adaptable machine further enhanced by it's ability to act as a charger when operating under AC power. Separate connections inside the housing's sealed compartments enable USB devices and DeWalt 18v/14.4v lithium ion batteries to be charged directly from the unit's chassis; this functionality, along with Toughsytem compatibility, enables a streamlined and practical system which frees up available power sockets and decreases the amount of cables and adaptors needed on site.
